Cactus Global Link participated in the “Now is the Time to Enter the Indian Market: India Business Practical Seminar,” held on June 9, 2026, at the Consulate General of India in Fukuoka.
The seminar was organized by the Fukuoka Foreign Trade Association for companies in Fukuoka and the wider Kyushu region interested in exploring business opportunities in India. The event brought together local companies, business support organizations, and professionals seeking practical insights into how Japanese companies can approach the Indian market.
Akhilesh Ayer, Cactus Communications CEO, and Makoto Yuasa, Representative Director of Cactus Communications (Japan), joined the program as speakers. They shared practical perspectives on the opportunities and challenges Japanese companies face when entering India. The presentation covered common misconceptions such as “a large market automatically means easy sales” or “finding a distributor is enough,” and instead emphasized the importance of careful initial research, industry-specific market validation, partner identification, and small-scale business testing.
The seminar also introduced concrete first steps for Japanese companies considering India, including how to assess market potential, identify reliable local partners, create initial business opportunities, and move from research to actual business development.
Participants showed strong interest in India as a growth market, particularly in sectors relevant to Fukuoka and Kyushu-based companies, such as manufacturing, food, healthcare, agriculture, logistics, and technology-related services.
